SWAT Team Tactics For Getting Your Teen Into College

SWAT TEAM TACTICS REVIEWS / TESTIMONIALS:
An excellent book written by an excellent educator
Kudos, Ms. Donnelly, on your fine book “SWAT Team Tactics. . . ” As a teacher of gifted seniors for 20 years, I have seen first hand the stress that college applications brings to even the most academically talented of our young people. Your book is a must read not just for students and their parents, but for school counselors and high school teachers. as well.
It’s difficult to know where to bestow my praise for Swat Team’s contents first, as everything in it is valuable. But the chapter titled “Middle School Counts” made me smile. I spent two years trying to convince my own son of this, and kept wishing as I read that I had had your book when I was trying to do so!
5.0 out of 5 stars Pamela Donnelly is the Real Deal. Her great purpose in mentoring teens revealed perfectly!!!, March 15, 2014

There simply is no better mentor or system for getting your teen into college. Period. Trust Pamela Donnelly. This is her life’s work.
For Parents and Teens – College Preparation Process made Simple
Pamela Donnelly’s book served as my guiding light to help my teen and myself as a parent to learn about the college preparation process. I have done my education from India so I have no clue how it all works here. As I was just getting curious to explore on this topic, Pamela Donnelly’s book came as a blessing. The author has explained it in simple language and I am glad I read it when my daughter is in 8th grade so it is perfect time to have this information. I highly recommend this book to all parents so they too can help and guide their teen into college preparation process early on.
Good, solid practical advice

I got the Kindle version of this book. It provided a nice overview with a good breathe of knowledge. My old criticism is there could be more depth and details I.e. websites, scholarships and financial information. It’s a very nice start to the planning process.
It’s Not War: But Preparation Helps!

No guns or bullets involved, but the more information that parents can gather to support their child’s college process, the better! Pamela Donnelly gives parents a memorable approach to the “must dos” of the college process. Put on your flak helmet and dive on in!
5.0 out of 5 stars College planning doesn’t have to be daunting, January 8, 2014
By Cathy Flynn (NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA, US)
Pamela Donnelly tells it like it is. Getting your kid into the college of his or her choice is no easy feat, but she helps guide you through the process in a way that is simple and straight forward. The chapter on “Best Online Sources” offering free tutorials alone is worth 100 times the price of the “SWAT Team Tactics” download. “ACT or SAT? Picking the Right Test” was particularly helpful. Pamela clearly explains the pros and cons of each test and recommends strategies that really paid off for us. I am absolutely thrilled to say my daughter scored a 34 in English and 35 in Reading on the ACT and a 710 in Writing and 760 on Reading on the SAT, and she was accepted Early Action to her top choice school with a hefty scholarship. Especially if you are just starting the college process, this is a must read.
5.0 out of 5 stars Rare Clarity In A Sea Of Murky Water, December 19, 2013
By Kevin Kern
Children do not come with instruction guides for parents to read. But when it comes to preparing your child (and yourself) for college, this book is as close as it gets. Never before has a resource, of this type been made available to the general public. This book is the perfect resource for serious parents concerned about thier childrens education. As a parent, I know the struggles involved in creating this experience to be a great one for your child. SWAT breaks it down and makes the process understandable. If you have a teen, this book is a must read.
For parents who care …
By Randall Alford “visions & revisions” (Denver, CO)
A thoughtful, pragmatic, and informed encouragement to parents: you aren’t alone in this … and you don’t have to go it alone! Steeped in experience and success, Pamela’s perspectives provide insights and resources to support what is, for most parents, uncharted waters: getting your child successfully launched into a life of independent learning and expression. Without damaging your precious familial relationship!
A great way to prepare yourself for the challenges ahead – don’t hesitate to pick it up for yourself or offer it to a friend.
